Scattered across the American South-West, in the desert landscape of heat and sand, an Ironwood tree nurtures an ecosystem under its silvery blue-green leaves, like a king bringing life from the gods. For a thousand years its branches house birds' nests, its seeds feed small animals, and its shade allows for life under the unforgiving sun.
Called "Palo de Fierro" or "Wood of Iron" this ironwood tree lives up to 800 years, and its trunk can remain intact in the desert for nearly two thousand years. Many pieces that are harvested are over a thousand years old.
It is a true Street Strong wood.
