About some of the ironwoods offered:
Lignum Vitae-- The wood of the wizard Merlin's staff. "The Wood of Life" was also used by Jim Cellini. Used historically on ships in place of iron, which would rust. Has beautiful grain and a slightly floral scent.
Blackheart-- Polishes smoother than Lignum Vitae and has an enchanting feeling in the hands-- like it's heavier than it should be. A very popular proprietary ironwood. Durable for heavy cups and balls use.
Millenium-- Made of an ironwood that grows in the desert for a thousand years. The trunks of the trees can last another thousand years after the tree dies. Extremely tough, with a high contrast grain that patinas with use. Can handle heavy cups and balls use.
